Academy members get AI built into QuantIDE: nothing to install, no second subscription, and no monthly cap — it refills every few hours.
Everyone else using QuantIDE brings their own AI: they install Claude Code or Codex and pay its maker. Academy members do not have to. Student AI is built into the app and included in the plan, and it is the only AI QuantIDE provides to anyone.
Built for daily use
There is no monthly cap. Usage is measured the way Claude's own plans measure it: over a rolling five-hour window and a weekly window. Use it hard in the evening, and a few hours later it has refilled.
- Nothing to install and nothing to sign in to beyond your QuantIDE account.
- Settings shows how much of the current windows you have used.
- If you run through a window, the chat shows when it refills.
- You can switch to your own Claude Code or Codex at any time from the picker at the top right of the chat — useful if you already pay for one and want to keep going.
How the Academy wants you to use it
The AI types; you design the function and read every line. Classes are built around that split. Student AI is there so you are never blocked on boilerplate, not so you can skip the part where you understand what it wrote.
Keep it. Student AI does not replace it; it gives you a second engine with its own allowance, included in the plan you are already paying for.
